2025 was a record year for Object First. The company expanded its appliance portfolio, introduced new consumption options, added edge‑ready products and security features, and accelerated global adoption through a fast‑growing channel. And that's only part of the story. The company also achieved impressive year-over-year bookings growth and earned numerous industry accolades.

New Products, Features, and Launches

Immutability for Everyone Launch

On April 2, Object First launched three new appliances20 TB, 40 TB, and 432 TB for use cases ranging from 20 TB to 7 PB while delivering 10–20% faster Veeam ingest and restore across new models. The 432 TB configuration doubled ingest to 8 GB/s per four‑node cluster that could scale up to 1.7 PB. This expanded line makes it easier for small businesses and large enterprises alike to standardize ransomware‐proof, Veeam-optimized immutable backup storage.

Consumption Based Subscription Options

To meet buyers where they are, the company introduced a pay‑per‑use (Consumption) subscription model in the U.S. in April—later expanded to the UK and EU in September—offering predictable monthly billing, including technology refreshes, and capacities spanning 17 TB to 7 PB. The motto, “pay for what you use, grow as needed,” captures how users can achieve greater cost efficiency with lower per-TB pricing as they scale. This subscription offering complements traditional Capex and helps accelerate partner and MSP‑led growth.

Object First Mini Appliance

In October, Object First introduced the Mini appliance, a compact, immutable storage solution (8/16/24 TB) designed for edge and remote offices. It delivers the same Zero‑Trust architecture and Veeam integration as larger appliances, making ransomware‑proof backup accessible for distributed environments. The Mini appliance will be available in early 2026.

Honeypot Feature

Alongside the Mini appliance, Object First released its Honeypot feature, a security enhancement that deploys a decoy environment to detect malicious activity targeting Veeam Backup & Replication. This proactive feature provides early warning of ransomware attempts, strengthening the overall security posture without adding complexity.

Fleet Manager (Announcement)

Object First also announced Fleet Manager, a centralized monitoring and management solution for all appliances, scheduled for release in 2026. Fleet Manager will enable IT teams to oversee multiple appliances from a single dashboard, simplifying operations for distributed environments and large enterprises.

Simply Resilient Launch

In November, Object First unveiled Simply Resilient, a brand update and product enhancement that positions the company as a security leader. This launch introduced the concept of Absolute Immutability, the ultimate defense against cyberthreats like ransomware, ensuring backup data cannot be altered, encrypted, or deleted under any circumstances. The new tagline of the launch, “Simply Resilient,” reinforces our messaging pillars—secure, simple, and powerful. Visual branding also underwent changes, including logos, imagery, and design language during the launch.

Absolute Immutability

Absolute Immutability is the ultimate ransomware defense—and it’s a principle embedded into every Object First appliance to guarantee that backup data remains safe from ransomware, insider threats, and credential breaches. This year, Object First made that promise real with the launch of Simply Resilient, introducing Absolute Immutability as a core design standard across our appliances.

By enforcing immutability at the object level with S3 Object Lock and versioning, backup data becomes immutable the instant it is written, eliminating exposure windows and delivering Zero Time to Immutability. Our secure-by-design architecture extends Zero Trust to Zero Access, ensuring no one—not even the most privileged admin or vendor—can perform destructive actions. Unlike proprietary “Black Box” systems that rely on trust alone, Object First uses open S3 standards for verifiable security through independent testing. And because our purpose-built target appliance architecture separates backup storage from backup software, we reduce the attack surface and eliminate the risks of DIY or integrated appliances.

These three principles—S3 Object Storage, Zero Time to Immutability, and Target Storage Appliance—make Object First the only vendor delivering Absolute Immutability as a foundational design standard, ensuring that whatever happens—ransomware, insider threats, or credential breaches—your backup data remains protected and recoverable.

Market Momentum and Business Performance

Hypergrowth in Bookings and Adoption

Object First reported a 400% year‑over‑year increase in global bookings in Q2 2025, with regional surges of 76% (U.S./Canada), 364% (LatAm), and 961% (EMEA); the global customer base grew 225% YoY, and the partner community expanded 237% YoY in the same period. By Q3 2025, the company announced 291% YoY bookings growth, showing just how in-demand immutable backup storage is.

Channel‑First Scale

A strengthened global partner program—featuring a partner portal, enhanced tiers, MDF, rewards, and Hands-On Labs—earned Object First a spot in the 2025 CRN Partner Program Guide, recognizing vendor programs that drive partner value. Coverage of 2024–2025 momentum also highlighted major booking and partner growth, plus expansion across EMEA and the Americas. The new Consumption model further enabled MSPs and resellers and later rolled out across Europe to meet demand for opex‑friendly storage adoption.

Industry Recognition

In 2025, Object First earned multiple honors and awards, including:
