Integrating the Object First Ootbi Appliance in a backup infrastructure

The Ootbi Appliance provides ransomware-proof, high-performing backup storage. The solution seamlessly integrates with Veeam and can be used as primary backup storage or as a part of the Scale-out Backup Repository (SOBR). Namely, the appliance(s) can be used as the performance and/or capacity tier of SOBR.

The Ootbi appliance can serve as primary backup storage for virtual machines, applications, or physical devices (e.g., NAS) in Veeam Backup and Replication v.12. See the full list of Veeam Backup and Replication protected objects here.

Object First appliance can also be used as the capacity tier alone in SOBR, providing room for the primary tier of choice. Such configuration allows for multiple SOBR Primary backup storage extents. See the detailed guide here.
