Bucket Concept Overview
S3 Bucket (also referred to as bucket ) is a container that stores objects. Buckets have no limits for the number of objects stored and the performance of one bucket is not affected by the performance of other buckets. The buckets enable outstanding scalability of the backup repository.
Buckets allow for versioning and data immutability, which is vital for ensuring the ransomware resiliency of the local backup repository.
Bucket versioning and immutability are enabled for each bucket once the bucket is created and cannot be disabled for an existing bucket. To disable bucket versioning, uncheck the Enable versioning option during bucket creation.
Custom region can be specified for the bucket if required.
