We are looking for a Linux System Engineer with strong Python skills to develop middleware components for configuration, monitoring, and management of Linux-based hardware appliances.

Key focus areas: Linux OS, Python scripting, storage, networking.

Responsibilities

• Design middleware components: define interfaces and determine which functionality should be implemented or moved into the middleware layer.
• Maintain a unified set of configuration files that define system behavior and parameters for both system utilities and in-house software.
• Develop and maintain middleware scripts to enable interaction between system components, as well as support system monitoring and management.
• Provide documentation - from well-commented code to architectural overviews and internal knowledge base entries.
• Collaborate with QA and Support teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Python scripting (functional and OOP approaches).
• Solid understanding of common software design patterns and principles.
• Deep knowledge of Linux OS architecture.
• Ability to investigate and analyze system components or processes using documentation, tools, and open-source code review.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and storage architectures.
• Advanced English.
