Object First becomes part of V-Valley's portfolio of solutions in Iberia

POSTED ON: Apr 19th 2024

Madrid, April 8th, 2024. Object First, a company founded by the creators of Veeam, joins forces with V-Valley to provide Ootbi (Out-of-the-Box-Immutability), a ransomware-proof backup storage appliance that’s purpose-built for Veeam.

Object First released its product, Ootbi, in February of 2023. It is a 2U object storage appliance that is secure by default and can act as a primary target for Veeam backups.

Designed around Zero Trust and data security principles with built-in immutability, Ootbi helps drastically reduce the risk of ransomware altering, encrypting, or deleting backup data. A proprietary object storage software paired with a customized hardened Linux operating system provides the underlying security, and zero access to the root or the operating system means even the most privileged user cannot alter Ootbi or its immutable data.

“Bringing Object First into V-Valley’s ecosystem represents our commitment to offer our customers best-in-class solutions. The combination of Object First with Veeam allows us to offer a competitive solution, tailored to meet diverse storage needs. We will work hand in hand with Object First to incorporate partners who need to find storage for Veeam and take advantage of this opportunity," said Roberto Alonso, Head of Sales & Marketing Cloud & Software Area at V-Valley.

“V-Valley's outstanding relationship with Veeam resellers across Spain, characterized by their exceptional service and customer-centric approach, immediately caught our attention," said Mark Haddleton, EMEA Channel Sales Director at Object First. "We are excited to partner with them to reduce the risks of ransomware and other data security threats with a secure, simple, and powerful backup storage solution for the Spanish Veeam reseller community."
